Our Story

After both experiencing previous health scares and having had negative reactions to everyday products such as mainstream deodorants, we had already personally made the switch to natural.

As parents we had also realised that many conventional products (even those designed for children and/or sensitive skin) were made with toxic ingredients and materials that were potentially harmful to our health and the planet. This inspired us to create something better…..

Totem Eco was born from our belief that the products that we use on our bodies and our kids should be safe, healthy and nourishing without the need to think twice about what’s inside.

With Toby’s background as a research scientist and Katie’s career as a hair and makeup artist, we decided to use our collective experience to embark on a long and sometimes challenging journey to formulate a range of gentle, nourishing, non-toxic body products that were packed full of beautiful native Australian ingredients, were eco friendly, super effective and that looked & smelt amazing.

We wanted to build a brand that spoke to our social values by promoting inclusion, body positivity, mental health and cultural diversity.

We feel so lucky to call Australia home and we hope that by bringing awareness to the amazing Australian environment and our indigenous history, we can encourage the conservation of our precious eco systems and promote a more sustainable way of life.

We plan to grow Totem Eco and are so excited to share this journey with you.
